Alberta's Public Land Use Zones along the Eastern Slopes are under tremendous pressure from Environmental lobby groups, and those plans to convert existing protected areas into Parks will affect your continued use and enjoyment of these areas. Public Land Use Zones are already designated “to ensure the protection of the environment, while allowing responsible and sustainable recreational use.” 

Decisions on land management should be in Alberta`s best interests, balancing Environment, Social and Economic impacts. This can be met with working in true collaboration and input from the actual groups and stakeholders on the landscape. There are solutions that provide positive outcomes - without removing or excluding any Albertans' responsible access and enjoyment of our province.

Alberta Environment and Parks has created a public input survey on the Bighorn Country Proposal, open until January 31st 2019. Please click on the link and complete the survey to have your input. Please ensure you make your position clearly stated in each of the comment boxes, of whether you support - or do not support, this proposal.
